About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate student who is passionate about quantitative analysis and wants to apply it to a new field – business/management. As a GA, you will help two instructors in our MSc program (Business Analytics concentration) deliver workshops for students in our predictive analytics courses (BANA 5002 and BANA 5003). You will work in coordination with these two instructors. The objective is to provide practical and hands-on opportunities for the students in BANA 5002 and BANA 5003 to apply the course content to business analytics issues. Each course is six weeks in duration, with the courses delivered back-to-back in Spring 2024.
Requirements
Academic training – you have strong statistical knowledge. You are familiar with factor analysis, linear, logistic regression, cluster analysis, decision trees, ensemble methods and other classification methods. Knowledge of machine learning methods is desirable but not essential as long as you are willing to learn them.
You are proficient in R for statistical analysis.
Domain expertise – Business analytics experience is not expected but would be desirable. Candidates from different areas, such as (but not limited to) economics, math, physics, and neuroscience, are welcome to apply.
Teaching Assistantship Experience – you are eager to strengthen your skills working as a TA. Teaching experience is a plus.
