Jade Oldfield
As Vice-President Finance for the past two years, I have accomplished some amazing things, and I hope to do even more if elected GSA President. During my time in office, I have spearheaded initiatives such as a much-needed bylaw review, instituted a local summer retreat to facilitate planning for the year, and most notably I have championed a $200,000 endowment to ensure the sustainability of our graduate student awards. As president, I plan to build on these successes, starting by working towards advocating for more graduate student spaces on campus, in combination with bringing the graduate student food pantry into realization. Furthermore, I will work with the new VP Finance to create sustainable initiatives geared towards student awards and funding. Finally, I will work to reestablish relationships between the post-secondary institutions to help advocate for graduate student needs province wide. Together let's build a stronger, more connected graduate student community.

My focus in the upcoming year will be to use our budget for the benefit of us all. I'm here to listen—whether it's about supporting a new club, a new academic idea, or just making sure there's enough pizza at events. Vote for me and I'll ensure that your needs inform and shape our financial decisions.
