Student Service Award

Student Service Award

This award seeks to honour and reward graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and service to the university and the broader graduate student community. We celebrate and acknowledge contributions that extend beyond the realms of research and teaching, recognizing the vital role that service plays in enriching our academic community.

Award Details
  • Value: $250

  • Number: Variable, with a maximum of 24 awards presented annually.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this esteemed award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment in any graduate degree program at the University of Lethbridge, either part-time or full-time.

  • Exclusion: Graduate students currently serving in a paid position within the University of Lethbridge Graduate Students’ Association (ULGSA).

Evaluation Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated based on their:

  • Demonstrated service to the University and the graduate student community.

Payment Process

The award is promptly disbursed upon the completion of the adjudication process.

Application Process

To be considered for the Graduate Students’ Association Student Service

 

Award, applicants are required to:

  • Submit their application by April 1st.

  • Include an essay detailing their contributions and impact on the University and the graduate student community.

  • Confirm their involvement in volunteer and community service.

Recipient Selection

The GSA Awards Committee is responsible for selecting recipients based on the criteria outlined above and within the specified deadlines. To maintain objectivity, any applicant holding a position on the GSA Awards Committee will recuse themselves from the review of their own application.

Incomplete applications will automatically be rejected.
