The Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) is seeking a Speaker to chair meetings and ensure fair, efficient, and respectful proceedings in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order and GSA Bylaws. This role is key to maintaining order, neutrality, and effective decision-making within the GSA.
Key Responsibilities:

Chair and manage meetings using Robert’s Rules of Order

Ensure fairness, order, and participation in discussions

Guide debate, recognize speakers, and oversee motions and voting
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Experience chairing meetings or serving on a board or committee

Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills

Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) Robert’s Rules of Order and GSA Bylaws
